What to Expect

New patients often remark how “homey” our office is. That’s good, because our goal is to offer state-of-the-art chiropractic care in a comfortable surrounding.

First Visit To Our Marietta Practice

You will immediately feel at home the moment you walk in the door.

On your fist visit to our office you can expect to fill out paperwork concerning why you are in the office and if insurance is going to be utilized you will need to bring your insurance card or copy to verify your benefits. We ask that you be as detailed as possible when filling out this paperwork.

Most first time visitors to a chiropractor are somewhat nervous and may not know what to expect. We will try and make you feel as comfortable as possible and explain every step before we proceed to the next step. We will go over the paperwork in detail and do an extensive background and history consultation. We will then perform a detailed examination. On most occasions x-rays will then be taken of the area of complaint.

This entire procedure usually takes between 30 and 45 minutes.

Your Second Visit

Report of Findings

Depending on the condition or complaint some therapy may be performed on the initial visit.

Patients are then asked to return the very next day for a "REPORT OF FINDINGS" to go over the history, exam and x-ray findings. We will then explain what is causing the condition or complaint and outline a course of treatment.

This will usually take between 15 and 20 minutes.

A Typical Visit

Cervical Adjustment

After the course of treatment has been explained a normal visit to our office will take approximately 15 minutes, depending on what type of treatment and therapies are performed.

Usually the patient will first receive their chiropractic adjustment and then the therapies will be performed afterwards to help relax the patient.

If you have a fever, are you sick or healthy?
Chiropractors love asking this question because it gets to the root of the chiropractic difference. Turns out fevers, vomiting, coughing and even sneezing are all healthy responses. It means your body is working correctly. Taking medications to suppress these natural processes can actually prolong your recovery.
How long does it take to form a bone spur?
Many who begin chiropractic care think their problem happened "last week when you bent over funny." But pictures of the spine tell a different story. Chiropractors know it can take your body years to deposit the calcium necessary to form a bone spur. It's your body's response to stress due to gravity or joint malfunction. And chiropractic care can help.
